About the Conference

This event marks the first Finnish edition of two internationally recognized conferences held annually for over five years: the Chronic Pathologies Conference and the Crypto Infections Conference. Now united under one groundbreaking platform, the conference brings together leading scientists, clinicians, and patient advocates to explore the latest advancements in chronic infection pathologies—including tick-borne diseases, long COVID, polymicrobial infections, and more. Join us for a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and inspire change in the understanding and management of chronic illnesses.

The theme, "SHOW ME THE DATA!" reflects our mission to spotlight robust, data-driven research in chronic infection pathology. As this field evolves, it is critical to distinguish evidence-based science from unsupported claims that may mislead researchers, clinicians, and patients. We encourage submissions presenting empirical data, even if not yet peer-reviewed or published.

🇫🇮 How to Travel from Helsinki to Jyväskylä by Train (VR)

Destination: Scandic Jyväskylä Station, Jyväskylä, Finland
Travel Time: ~3 hours 30 minutes 
Recommended Transport: VR Intercity or Pendolino train

🛫 Step 1: Arrival in Helsinki

• If arriving at Helsinki Airport (HEL):
  Take the I or P commuter train from the airport train station to Tikkurila or Dickursby railway station.

  • Travel time: ~15 minutes

  • Trains depart every 10–15 minutes

  • Tickets: Buy from HSL ticket machines or the HSL mobile app

🚆 Step 2: Take a VR Train from Helsinki to Jyväskylä

• From Tikkurila or Dickursby railway station, board a VR Intercity (IC) or Pendolino train to Jyväskylä.

• Travel time: ~3 hours 15–45 minutes

• Frequency: Several direct trains daily

• Booking:

  • You can book tickets in advance and select your seat

Tip: Choose a direct train (no transfers) for the easiest travel.

🏨 Step 3: Walk to Scandic Jyväskylä Station

• Once you arrive at Jyväskylä Train Station, exit the platform and turn left.

• The Scandic Jyväskylä Station Hotel is directly across the street, just 100 meters from the station.

• The walk takes 2 minutes or less.
